white pen not quite white enough

My pen 91 is supposed to be white, but it reads against the white background as light grey.

I've double checked the color source and it SHOULD match the background color source.

Is there anything else?

you have that pesky little 'adjust pen colour visibility...' setting switched on in your preferences, eh?

I thought you knew "there's no such thing as white"?

You are right. We sometimes let R=255, G=255 and B=255, really light grey, stand in for white, metaphorically.
