I have a problem to make wine barrel. I use basic shape to make wine barrel, but it looks like trash can. I think that's because wine barrel are more curve on the side. Is there any way I can make the can curve as wine barrel? the attachment is the image that I have right now, so you can tell it just look like trash can.

Ashley,
The Profiler -an API, comes inside your
-ArchiCAD Folder
-Goodies Folder
-Profiler Folder

Open it and drag the Icon (Profiler) into your Add-Ons Folder,
Restart.
When you open the ArchiCAD now you should be able to find and select the Profiler under the Tool Menu in the MenuBar.
See below for the snapshot of the Folder structure.

Ashley,
Jacek has told you how to find and install Profiler but to my knowledge
there is no documentation in AC 8 on how to use this Add-on.
I thought you might have some difficulty using it, I know I did,
so I made a jpeg with some notes on how to use Profiler
to make "revolved" objects.

you guys are amazing. I was looking for drum and pots before. This website have what I am looking for.

I still try to make my own wine barrel. I think it will help me to make model later. But I still have problem to making it. Don't laught at me! I feel so stupid right now.

I draw the circle and curve--> group them--> profiler-->choose the top right--> click magic wand--> click the center of the circle than the problem appear. the circle appear is much larger than what I need. below is the attachment that I did. Where is the mistakes that I made?

Ashley,
You don't need the magic wand, Profiler does all that is needed.
You don't need to draw a circle.

*All you need is the half section
drawing as grouped lines and arc.*

Please look at the jpeg I posted earler. the circle you see there
is the plan symbol that Profiler creates.
You can download the jpeg by control clicking on it's preview picture
or right mouse clicking on the preview picture.

Hello Ashley

First of all, you're making things more difficult that they really are.

Don't group anything. It'll require you more clicks you really need.
After all I reproduced your 'mistake' only grouping them.

Draw the curve and circle - Profiler - Click on the curve - save it.
The object will be placed on top of the circle.

that's it.

have fun
