Can anyone attach a void Archicad 18 file please?

I think I have messed up my Archicad somehow, now all objects and layers are random, I would like to try to load an empty file and store it as standard before having to reinstall it. My files seem corrupt and I am in the middle of a project.

Archicad 18 English please, possibly a Mac user...

Thanks

Try opening a New file while holding down the Option key - New will change to "New and Reset All"

Thanks Stuart, I will do that.

Is it my idea or in the past whenever I would put an object (slabs, columns, image, etc...) the layer was chosen automatically? Because it doesn't happen to me now, whenever I have to use one of the objects I need to create a specific layer now. I have been away from Archicad for a few years, forgive me about the lame question.

Any object or element can be placed on any layer. Usually the template which comes with ARCHICAD has particular layers for particular elements. Wall to a Wall layer, Slab to a slab or floor layer etc but this is only a guide.
Layers are there to help you organise your model....
Hope this helps

Your welcome. This is the only Template I use.

"Clean Template is a standard ArchiCAD 18 and 19 template, but without any attributes, libraries, views, layouts, project preferences and so on. It is perfect to start building your own template from scratch. Additionally you can also use it to open ArchiCAD fast for merging DWG or IFC."
