Drawing List with categories and subcategories

Hello!

I am doing a drawing list or drawing register for our template and I need to show the headlines for the subset and the sub-subset.

For example the headline for "SERVICES" and then inside that the second headline for "ELECTRICAL" and then the drawing in there as "SECOND STOREY".

Currently the schedules let you put the subset the drawing is into but not the one above that.

Does anyone encounter this problem?

AFAIK, you can’t show subsets that are higher up in the layout hierarchy in schedules. However, you could use the method explained here though and write the name of the main subset (in your case, SERVICES) into the layout preferences for each layout. Even then, the header would still have to be pieced together from multiple fields, so in schedules it would show up as something like “SERVICES – ELECTRICAL.”

Yeah, OK. I have tried the property in the layouts. It is just very "manual" and I am afraid it creates good oportinuties for mistakes, specially for archicad beginners in the office.

Thank you very much though, I appreciate the response.

Is there a wish for this?

Yeah, that’s a valid concern and it would also be a tedious task.

One option, of course, is to name the subsets in a way that also includes the name of the higher-level subset.

I’m not sure whether there’s a wish for this. Implementing the feature could be problematic, as there might be multiple higher-level subsets. How many levels should then be displayed, and how would the user select the number of levels?

Naming the subset with both names is what I am doing currently, but still I would still like to wish for 2 levels of subset names, both in the drawing list and in the master's titleblock. It would be better
