I find naming zones in Archicad a little unproductive.
We either have to type zone names every time, for each set of selected zones, or use the drop-down menu next to Zone Name box, which lists way too many name suggestions:
Revit has this process neatly sorted out: it would only display zone names that are already used in the model AND it has typing auto-complete and alphabetical sorting, which we don't have in AC.
I hoped there would be something like "purge unused zone names" but nope ?
Ideally, I would clear all the suggested names and add my own "preset", which would later let me just pick from a short list, instead of typing, but I didn't find any option to do that.
Any possible ways to improve this process?
I'm working on Archicad 25 right now.
Operating system used: Windows 10

That list comes from the Zone Stamp. You could duplicate the Zone Stamp you have assigned to your zones and edit that list. For Zone Stamp 02, this is the variable stRoomNames in the Zone_stamp_macro.

I dug in some older threads on this topic (which I was able find thanks to your reply) and realized the method is too complicated for me to dive in, time-wise.
But thanks anyway.

I would be nice if it drew the list from an attribute much like the Zone Categories. A consolidated, project specific list would be nice. Might be worth a wish.
