Ciao community!!
I'd like to know if it's possible to get the quantity of elements that are in a certain zone.
More specifically, I'd like to know if you can get the quantity of the finishes of a wall but only the side which goes to a certain zone.
For example, if I want to do a quantity take-off of a specific apartment in a floor plan, and don't want to get the side of the wall going to the corridor, or going to the other apartments (therefore internal/external line is not possible - because one wall might be internal to one apartment and internal for another apartment).
Any hints? I feel like either I am missing something very noobie here, or this is not possible at all.
Grazie!

Just made this drawing to help understand a little bit better.
I'd like to make the quantity for a certain apartment, so I'd like to exclude the finishes of the walls going to outside of the apartment.
Any hints?

I don't think that possible if both finishes (inside and outside the apartment) belong to the same composite wall. A possible solution is to have the finishes modeled independently to the wall core. This way the zone will identify only the finish that belongs to that apartment. A lot of time and accuracy is needed, though.

Hi, I don’t know if there is a method of extracting a quantity from a vertical plane of a zone ? Tiling area and heights are usually by specification so therefore you would need to draw your tiling surfaces in on your model in order to extract them via setting properties and schedules. I haven’t fully learnt how to do this with Archicad yet.
Hint: Many use BIMkit Quant, here is a link to a video in Italian that I can’t fully understand myself. This in conjunction with Archicad would be an effective way to extract quantities from what others suggest.
Hope that helps.

Edit: Someone asked a similar question in 2024 but did not get a reply. See here.
