Because the existing and finished floor plans use the same layer combination, any section lines and detail references show up on the existing plans as well as the finished plans. You can't put these into the Existing, Demolition or Finished options of the Renovation Tool, it is greyed out when you select them.
Does anyone else have a workaround for this, other than remembering to turn the relevant layers off when you publish the existing plans and then turn them back on for the finished plans.

Ian:
As before the Renovation Tool, I am using a layer that is off or on depending on the Layer Combination associated with the View.

The cadimage tools seem to be lagging behind when it comes to Renovation status awareness, though even archicad's own marker objects cannot be given Renovation statuses (it would be nice if they could). I'm assuming that Cadimage's tools build off the same foundation, and thus cannot be hidden via Renovation, so we aren't quite free of the duplicate layers yet.
Cadimage's Keynote schedule fails in this regard too. The notes will show/hide via the Renovation status, but the schedules still read all notes on any layer that's on, even if the notes are hidden via Renovation. I've already logged this issue with cadimage, and hopefully they'll have it fixed soon.
