missing load dialogue box in AC17

When i click on the AC17 desktop icon it would normally load up AC and have a dialogue box asking which job i would like to open or start a new one etc.

Now it loads straight into an Untitled project which i subsequently have to close an load the project I am after.

How can i bring back the dialogue box? i certainly havent turned it off!

Options menu > Work Environment > Enable all informational messages...

If that command isn't in your Options menu, due to your own customization, then temporarily use the standard work environment, or add the command to your menus.

It seems a strange place to have that command to me... and not obvious that 'informational messages' would include the Start dialog. Just the messenger...

I guess there's a logical reason why it is not under Dialog Boxes and Palettes!

You can also drag your project onto the ArchiCAD icon to open it, which may be quicker still?

Cheers,
