After a colleague has reserved all, and subsequently released all, the following receive for anyone logged into the project, who is otherwise up-to-date with the data of the project, has to sit through blue circling for the best part of an hour. Even if the only change coming through is minimal 2D detailing (polylines&fills etc).

Does anyone else experience this debilitating time delay?

I'd consider saving the project as a pln, repair it and re-share on BIMcloud. There might be some corrupted data, but most of the time these two would fix these things. Do not worry about the sharing and joining time that much, normally when these files are saved as pln, they usually become way smaller than they were on BIMcloud (as certain data are not needed in solo projects compared to server data).

If this doesn't help, you might want to contact your local Graphisoft representative with a Teamwork Support Package and they can investigate the issue.

Also, if the file is 3.5 GB is size, it may be time to implement some strategies to reduce file sizes to increase performance, like using Hotlinks, dividing the model into multiple files, splitting the project into a model file and a documentation files (layouts), etc.
