Archicad 18 Bim Server "Address"

This is probably dumb - but where do I find what my BIM server Address is so I can enter that into ArchiCad so I can share my project in Teamwork?

Hello mister ksjhawk,

everything work fine we made a little mistake with the port number it was 8081 and up the user connection work.

Super.

But by the way if you look the documentation there is no place where they talk place the IP and the port number. They always takl about the name of the server.

I agree...it seems like this little bit of info should be more in the forefront of support documentation

I lied...it just worked. mhoude, go to reconfigure v18 module shortcut in location where you installed the BIM Server...this will give you the port number...type ip address and port number in as described by ejrolon above...hope this helps.

Where is this "reconfigure v18 module" you speak of?

Last update I used the file BS17-USA.dmg. Is it the same this year? If so, where is it?

Check for it in ht BimServer folder in either your Application Folder or Program Folder.
I just found out that this is the one that is used to restart the server.

I'm not getting it. There is no such reconfiguring file in the BIMSever folder. Only Server module 1700. I have a downloaded file from last year that updated the BIMServer. Is there one this year that I missed? or is it all in one .dmg file?

In that case you have not installed AC18 BimServer. If you only have server module 17 then it looks like you are using the previous version

For the installation check the Manual (Reference Guide under Help in AC) for requirements and how to set it u.

http://helpcenter.graphisoft.com/technotes/next-generation-teamwork/getting-started-with-the-graphis...

For the first screenshot you need to use the username and password you created when installing the BimServer.

For the second remove the forward slash ( / ) at the end.

Thirdly it is possible that the ports used for the BimS are blocked at your University (they are at mine) if that is the case then you need to clear it up with your IT department.
