BIMcloud Basic Authentication Failed

Hi all,

I am currently using Archicad 24 and has installed a BIMcloud Server in my local server. It goes all well until last week, I can't access to this BIMcloud anymore. I got a popped out message saying that the "BIMcloud Authentication is Failed". I have tried in restarting my server, and also when I access to the BIMcloud Manager, all the members including the administrator are not able to login with message "Error: Invalid ID or password", we also been restricted to reset the password. I am not sure what's happened to this. Did anyone experience this and any solution?

Sincerely,

Sharon.

Sometimes the problem could be that the server module has disconneted from the manager module.

One reason could be that the IP address of the computer has changed, since the the BCB was originally setup.

Have you checked that yet?

I had this happen to several users a few weeks ago. If you go in to the BIMcloud manager and change your password it should let you connect again. You should be able to change the password to the same one you already have depending on its complexity. There was a change in an update that requires passwords to be more secure now so you may have to choose a new password and I think that may be what’s caused the issue to begin with.

Hi schagemann, thanks for your reply. Ya, I have checked that and the IP address is fixed. Now, when I access to my Manager, there are empty, my projects are all gone.

Hi Lee, I have tried change the password but this message popped out, as per my attached image.

Have you tried rebooting the machine that hosts the BIMcloud? it may be the service has stopped running for some reason.

Then this is most likely due to the BIM server manager components being disconnected from each other.

Please check the BCB installation location to see if your projects are still there.

On a Mac this is in the following location:

/Applications/GRAPHISOFT/BIMcloud/Server-20YY-MM-DD/Projects

If they are still in there you can try to do a repair install with the BCB installer.
