Batch create BIM Server users? (instead of one by one)

I'm teaching a class on BIM and want to introduce Teamwork to my 90+ students. While the new BIM Server Manager interface is more friendly than the previous system, I still have to manually create all users, one by one.

There is no batch import (e.g. using an Excel sheet or CSV file).

I guess that this is more meant for BIMcloud, but that is not accessible to us as educational users.

Yes, the BIM Server only allows import of *.BIMUsers files which can be exported from other BIM Servers. It is a binary file so there is no "hack" to somehow create a text *.BIMUsers file and import that.

It is actually a json file (text) but with sufficient fields and guids that I don't envision creating them manually.

You could try implementing an imaging software such as Ghost.

I don't get that. Ghost makes an image of a computer installation. I was asking to upload a list of users to create user profiles on the BIM Server.

I did it manually.
The provided import/export is only to migrate users from an existing installation into another one (that is, they are already generated once).
