Possible reasons based on the frequency of occurrence
Available data storage is low
Check the available space on the data store where the BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic components are installed in addition to the data store where the
Projects,
Attachments and
BlobCache folders are placed. At least 15% percent of the total storage space or 100 GB, whichever is larger, should be available for normal operation.
BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic needs to be restarted
There could be synchronisation issues between the BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic services, which might require a manual service restart. Or there might be a pending - or not completely finished - operating system update which requires a full computer restart which can affect the operation of BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic. Restart the BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic services (on Windows) or daemons (on macOS) manually and/or restart the server computer. For further details on service/daemon restart see the

A 3rd party application interferes with the BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic
Antivirus, indexing, monitoring or backup applications may lock files or folders, this may cause issues if BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic tries to access these files, folders at the same time.
- In the settings of the above listed applications add BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic and its folders - including the Projects and Attachments - to the exclusion list.
- Indexing applications can use significant resources or slow access to databases. The result can lead to reduced performance of the BIMcloud or BIMcloud Basic.
- Make sure to schedule 3rd party backups to run outside of working hours.
Permission issue
BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic services are run by the local system administrator user by default. This user must have full read and write access to all BIMcloud / BIMcloud Basic related folders. As the location of the
Projects and
Attachments folders can be modified, make sure to have the necessary permissions to these folders as well if you used other locations than the defaults.
PLN snapshots stay on pending status
Users repeatedly gets notifications to upload a PLN snapshot to certain projects, even though a PLN snapshot for that project was recently created. On the BIMcloud Manager web interface affected projects show their PLN snapshots are still pending, only BIMProject snapshots have been created. For further details see the

BIMcloud log files might be necessary.
