Message Alerts not showing

Has anyone else experienced teamwork requested and message alerts not showing or being registered?

The only way I can 'download' them and see requests is to close the file and re-open.

Another team member was forced to force me to leave the project a day or two just before this started happening.

The show new message alert option is checked.

Now the disappearing messaging issue surfaced again... Crap. I restarted the messaging server and we'll update to the new hotfix asap but this issue has been happening with AC14-AC16 with various hotfixes which makes me think updating to the newest version won't matter. I'm more suspicious about our network...

Mats,

We've got similar problem, some V16 projects got OFFLINE very often. Restart BIM Server, Message Server, Re-share project are temporary work-arounds. The OFFLINE will come back.

I've noticed that this issue has just appeared after upgrading BIM Server V16 to include V15 & V16 projects. So, I asked our IT to move V16 projects to another BIM Server ... it works. At least that problem hasn't been come back up to now.

I am stuck with the Messaging Problem too. Switching to Offline and then Back will show the messages.

No idea were to restart the messaging service in Mac OS X Server.

All Macs using the same Java version.

ejrolon,

Restart BIM Server may restart the messaging service and other services as well?

Hi Ed,

Silly question - but how do you bring up that 'services' dialogue box/window?

We are working on Macs - so would it be different?

Thanks.

This refers to AC16 Teamwork and if I remember correctly was fixed on a following update. The services mentioned are for Teamwork and you will open them logging in to your TW Server using the browser. There you can turn oon or off what you need.

Still no luck finding the browser.
We can log in to a browser for 18 - but not for AC17 Bim Server (which is where we are experiencing the issue).

Have checked Java and we are all on the same update.

In 17 you don't use the Browser to manage the BimServer you use BimServer Manager program that should be installed in your Application/Program Folder ->Graphisoft
