3D issues - Cineware by Maxon crashes

Hi All,

I wonder if someone could help me with a problem I am having with rendering in 3D.
I click Creative Imaging > Photorender projection then a pop up window shows up saying

"Warning!

Cineware by Maxon add-on has unexpectedly closed.

Archicad should be restarted".

If I change the photorender engine settings to "Basic Renderer" it works fine but the "Cineware by Maxon" crashes.

Running - macOS 15.2 Sequoia

ArchiCAD 6010 USDA Full intel based Mac

Thanks in advance

Andrew Lister

Operating system used: Mac Intel-based 15.2 sequoia

This is a known issue listed here: https://community.graphisoft.com/t5/Installation-update/macOS-15-Sequoia/ta-p/616173

There’s also a workaround mentioned, but I haven’t tested it since we’re still using Sonoma.

Is anyone else still having this issue? I'm still receiving this pop up.

I've tried restarting my computer and replacing the Cineware folder as suggested but I'm still getting either the above up or I'll receive the below notification. I even changed my security settings to allow the below but am still getting the notification that "Cineware by Maxon add-on has unexpectedly closed". Any one have a solution?

Did you replace the folder after you changed your security settings?

Can you security settings be made to ignore anything in the Graphisoft folder and not just that one file?

I have no idea if that will work, just trying to think of things you can try.

I tried replacing the folder again after changing the security settings and still no luck. I don't receive the pop up about redshift anymore but still receive the notification that Cineware has unexpectedly closed.

Don't believe there's anything else that the security settings were blocking but either way I turned it off so no apps/files will be blocked.

Hi there, I’ve started getting the same pop up window again.  Replaced the cineware folder again a few times but no luck.

Is there a new fix to this problem?  Anyone?

Didn't find the answer?
