AC18 no lights "glow" showing up?

So..when trying to rendering with the new Cinama4d rendering engine...I can't see to get any illumination out of the lamps, lights, objects which you'd think would contain "automatic" illumination settings to render when place.
I did turn on the "light casting" check box and still I get no lights coming from the objects. Whats the magic toggle box I'm missing?
