Way to go Graphisoft. Given all the current software problems and now failures to launch, it is reassuring to know that AC is getting yet another feature that serves a minority while the very long Wishlist of essential improvements remains neglected. What is even more irritating is to know "Archicad AI Visualizer is already integrated into Archicad, so you don’t need to purchase any third-party solutions".**
Given the apparent failure of Physical Based Rendering for the 3D window I'm not holding my breath on this feature achieving critical mass any time soon.
Thanks for the support GS, good to know you are delivering what your customers need - NOT!

Sadly I must agree. It is beyond belief how GS keep pouring effort and resources into everything else than the fundamentals we need as architects from a CAD/BIM software to support our modern workflow - and as always with the EXPERIMENTAL FEATURE disclaimer attached. Add to this the attribute manager of AC26 and the MEP designer of AC27 and try to justify why we don't yet have proper groups/systems, types, or placement references to name a few obvious needs.
The AI Visualizer is marketed as allowing "you to accelerate the early design process without needing to model every design alternative" - perhaps the focus should be on making it easier to model every alternative design?

I just checked: the first AI renderers for Revit were available in January. And these are add-ins from external developers, which means that the developers have developed solutions within a few weeks for which Graphisoft needs months.
Not funny at all: systems like Forma and skema deliver real added value and of course export to Revit.
Perhaps Huw should give fewer interviews and do more of his job instead. Or leave. It can't get any worse than this.

FIX THE ARCHITECTURAL TOOLS FIRST.... PLEASE!!!
Stair, Rail, Curtain Wall, etc.
Make them more time efficient to use; and not take 15 minutes to simply change a pen color globally.
EDIT:
Further replies going off topic - nothing to do with AI visualisation.
So replies moved here ...
Barry.

A small list of things that should be fixed before introducing a.i visualizer

Yes, once again GS have set up a promo-fight to which they are late, don't have a strategy to win and which doesn't seem to matter much to their supporters - not a good move by whoever in charge. In the conversation about visualisation AI was mentioned once (as a means of improving sketch renders) while there was a lot mentions about improving the current workflows (high resolution 3D views captures, shadow control, etc.) and integration with render focused software. Despite this we end up get a self-proclaimed "world class" tool that doesn't even have any of the latest and common functionalities such as in/outpainting, image-image, edits, etc. and more importantly has seemingly no connection to the model (you know - the reason for using AC in the first place) which would be the only justification for using the epithet "world class".
So this little developer adventure will either end up stranded in a perpetual experimental state or it will keep eating away resources that should be used on the fundamentals just to play catch-up.

Just had a read of the installer guide... https://assets.graphisoft.com/guides/AI_Visualizer/AI_Visualizer-Installation_Guide.pdf
If you are comfortable with this stuff then great, on you go. The rest of us I think invested in Archicad for its ability to make life easier for architects. That guide is yet another example of how much Graphisoft has lost the plot when it comes to delivering to its core user base. Some of us are here simply trying to produce documentation that enables humans to communicate how to stack steel, masonry & timber for our clients, and unfortunately GS have delivered yet another pointless resource sucking distraction that clearly has some IT specialist users scratching their heads.
ARCHICAD - by Geeks for Hackers
Please note all architectural documenting tools have now been downgraded to "experimental features" and should not be relied upon for critical projects.

Well, I’m a self proclaimed nerd. For that I have no problems dealing with a command line interface. Of course GS could have packed this into a sophisticated installer - but the outcome would have been the same. The main point is: there is nothing special about this plug-in. GS can compile the AI-interface for every Archicad-Version because the underlying AI server is independent of Archicad. They can also build one e.g. for VectorWorks if they like.
As always the main question is: qui bono? If you have no success in your main branche, create distraction somewhere else. This is the second time GS tries to distract: #1 was “Apple showed Archicad in his M3 ad”, which was a 1.5 second glimpse of the AC interface. #2 is this AI nonsense. Maybe we should bet on what will be #3?

Hahaha! We can laugh now... but who knows what they'll do?
