Align Texture-Cinerender AC20

Any trick on how to align a material texture on two adjoining slabs?
The align texture / origin command in the 3d window doesn't seem to affect the cinerender texture setting. Thanks

The direction/orientation of the top of the slab defines what happens to the sides, as far as I know, making it hard to allign the texture on the side.

You could do a few quick things to fix it by having the side be one surface:
- model it with a complex profile wall (just draw the U shape and extrude it);
- convert both slabs to morph and merge them together, making sure the side becomes one surface, you might have to delete an extra edge where they connect
- give the top slab a 45 degree angle, extend the side slab to top, and use SEO to substract top from side, leaving you with clean sides

The morph should offer you the most control over texture allignment on all sides, but might not be ideal if you plan to edit it a lot afterwards.

Thanks Erwin. Converting the slab to a morph and editing the edges to join as a 45deg mitre does the trick. Thanks heaps

Something else you could try.
In the surface settings in the 'Size' section make sure that 'Random Origin' is turned off.
I had some brick surfaces where this was turned on and I couldn't work out why adjacent wall images didn't align but when I changed the surface material they did.
This was the culprit.

The random original box was unticked,
but worth looking out for this in the future.
Thanks
