When I calculate surface, Archicad calculates also the corner joints area surface


and bottom wall -top wall connection area surface


Is there a possibility to turn this off ?

Unfortunately, I do not think this is possible. IT would require the added intelligence taht ArchiCAD knows that surface is really not a surface to be taken into consideration as far as quantites are concerned.

Could you tell us exactly how you are computing the surface and what it is that you want? Complete details would be helpful. Are you using list schemes or interactive schedule?

Sooo...
Lets say that I want to calculate area of white paint (or drywall ) inside the house. I use calculation menu. because I have some openings cut walls etc I use "interior wall" material on all sides of wall. When I calculate using Calculate menu ->List Elements -> Custom made list. Archicad calculates also sides I showed on renderings. Unfortunantly it is quite large area.

Attached is a screenshot showing the surface area that you want (paint, drywall) using the interactive scheduler.

The walls are 6" thick, 10' tall and 10' long. With the reference line on the outside as drawn, the interior surface that you're looking for is the surface area of the side opposite the reference line.

You can do something similar with list schemes, but I'd use the I.S. unless you have some reason not to.

Taking another look at this:
The Surface parameters lists 3 surfaces: the last one is the total of all edge surfaces, the surface touching the other Wall included.
But there is the Area of the Wall parameter which will give you a correct value (in the example these two Walls are both trapezoid shaped, because they join). The other vertical edge of the Wall is thickness*height.
But I have no idea of how to decide whether a Wall has a free-standing vertical edge or not
This is as far as I got now.
