Converting 3d view to a camera

Is there a way to save a 3d view into a camera?

I've used the orbit tool to obtain a view I'm happy with. I know how to capture the view for a placing onto a layout. Is there a way to capture the views settings and then transfer it to a camera? This would include position and heights.

Hi Haneef,

In the menu "3d Navigation Extras" or something like that, you have a command called "Put a camera on the path". I guess this will do the job.

Dear Braza
Thanks a million - it's exactly what I was looking for

It's one of the pulldowns on the [3D Visualisation] toolbar.

regards
Haneef

I can a test that this technique does work. I have used this process to move saved views from Draft files to the final file.

This is the only way to move views from file to file is by copying cameras.
