Copying channel settings between materials.

Is there a way to copy the channel settings of one material onto another?

eg. I want the colour from Material A together with the bump map of Material B to make Material C

Additionally, might there be a way to insert steps into an active channel without resetting the whole channel?

eg. Shift a Noise operation into a Layer operation.

*In the 3dsMax Slate Material Editor you can link/relink each component of a texture to other textures/components. Is there an Archicad/Cinerender equivalent?
