Have tried turning off each section of the sketch style interface, and it seems dependent on the 'sketch line settings' and no others. Have also tried rendering w/ different 3d window settings (open GL, internal engine, hidden line, etc, etc, etc.) all to no avail?
Any suggestions? Attached is an image to clarify what lines i'm talking about.
Also would like to know if there is a good way to get rid of the vertical-wall joints between walls on diff. stories (yellow arrow).

I do not know how to get a screen shot of my 3d settings box.

Thanks, for the reply regarding screen shot. Hey do you have any idea if it is possible to eliminate the line around the shadows in 9.0 when you render using the sketch engine. I was able to in 8.1 but not 9.0.
Thanks again,
Jim

Did you ever get an answer to your question about the line around the shadows in 9.0? Or figure out how to do it? I would also like to know about how to do that.

I haven't logged in for awhile. Have you had any luck resovlving these problems.Hi Jmaul,
No, I have not had any luck in fixing this. My work around was to render everything twice: once with shadows, once without. Then overlay in photoshop w/ less transparency for the one w/ shadows. Lame, but it sorta works.
Actually I'm really suprised the ArchiCAD staff have not fixed this. It seems like the kind of thing that everybody who uses sketch styles would have problems with.

Thank you for the compliment. I have found that my renderings always look better the more I model the building. ( I.e. rafter tails, facia, and the like) Which can take a far amount of time. However, there is a great amount of information in this forum on ways to model different parts of the building efficiently. Also, I have made a few custom fills to model different materials, for example the architect I work for uses alot of standing seam metal roofs with 20" pans, so I have made a fill to represent. The rendering settings in the sketch engine are attached. If the project is in 8.1 I turn shadows on in the photorendering settings, and until the outline around shadows in 9.0 is fixed I turn them off in 9.0 Personally I like to set my cameras down around eye level for presentation to clients. Also like to put some veggi's in but make sure shadows are off otherwise they will take forever to render. If you have any specific questions please let me know. Also JasonBarish thanks for the info regarding the rendering twice and then going to photoshop.
