License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. Lightworks rendering

Question: I have had the lightworks rendering engine for two weeks now. I can get reflections in mirrors very nicely. However, the mirror will not take light from the sunobject, and reflect it from the mirror surface and cast in on the floor. Is this possible with a setting I don't know about?

This is an old LW test.
1 = Internal Render
2 = Floor Plan
3, 4 = LW test

I think I need to wake this conversation back up. We now have Maxon CineRender, and I still don't believe there's a way to get the sun to bounce off a mirror?

I know there are work-arounds if you're putting together a single scene. But what about in a sun study, when you're trying to find out what the light will be like if you used mirrors to direct the sun coming in from skylights or roof monitors?

Here's a shot of a project where the client wants sunlight to land on the wall to the left all day. I get direct afternoon sun, coming in between the reflectors onto the floor to the right, but nothing reflected onto the wall at the left.

If AC could render the sun bouncing off mirrors, it would be indispensable to daylighting architects.

Perhaps there is something to be found under the photorendering settings. If I look at detailed settings and go to Options > General Options, there are some settings for rays and reflections, maybe turn these up. They probably increase the render time dramatically though...

I'm new to Archicad, after I download the education version of Archicad, I cannot find lightwork rendering options in photo rendering setting. Is that I need to download any add-on?

Lightworks was discontinued in Archicad 18.
It has been replaced with Cinerender.
