License Delivery maintenance is expected to occur on Saturday, November 30, between 8 AM and 11 AM CET. This may cause a short 3-hours outage in which license-related tasks: license key upload, download, update, SSA validation, access to the license pool and Graphisoft ID authentication may not function properly. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Quixel usage in Cinerender/Corona

Anonymous
Not applicable
I have been interested in their library for a while but now that its a bit cheaper im even more interested.

I understand that its a possibility that the library might be coming to Twinmotion. I have used it a bit but still prefer the look of Corona over TM. I would still primarily like to only work within ArchiCAD but use nicer/pre-done textures, I wanted to know if others use this for their texturing with Cinerender or Corona within ArchiCAD?

Or if you dont, maybe you might know if its easy to use these textures with Cine/Corona?

Thanks

You should be able to use them if they have maps like, diffuse, displacement, normal, reflection, etc.
Saying this I don't think you can use the actual library, like a pick and drop type of way.

I suggest to download some samples and see "what you get" in therms of the maps I mentioned above.

You are welcome to have a look at my ready made material presets, this might be an option depending what you after. Check out my website; https://www.asmtechbase.com/asmshop and browse through or look at the video.

There was a related announcement by Epic Games this week:

So it is coming to the free Unreal Engine for sure.

I have just found this tweet:

https://twitter.com/Twinmotion/status/1194963276171546625

Based on this, I think these Quixel assets will only be in Twinmotion 2020, but not in Twinmotion 2019.

So, apparently tweets can be nicely embedded into ARCHICAD-Talk.
