TAUNT ME WITH LIGHTWORKS PROBLEMS. I DARE YOU.

Dwight
Newcomer
In messaging with our colleague New Zealand's Paul King, he wondered how to do a plasma screen. I took it on as a challenge and made yet another discovery about LightWorks - it can't use the screen image that the plasma screen object calls. Attached is the workaround for that.

ArchiCAD TALK members are invited to taunt me with problems. The book is making excellent progress, but I have a few pages that need ideas - along the lines of the challenge I have included here.

Please post your issues. I am moving on to explaining stained glass, next. But you'll have to get the book for that one.

In Canada we wouldn't use a crude term like "sozzled."

We would say that those rosy cheeks and unfocused eyes were evidence, say, of being "tanked," or "zonked."

Perhaps you are getting ready to audition for the hero role in Team america where he vomits an entire lake.

But, who knows? With the young generation it could be anything. Too much playstation, perhaps.

Let's really get off, uhhhhhhh, I mean off topic here. What is with the Harry Seidler references?
He was a guest lecturer and studio crit of mine at the University of Virginia in the late 70's. He was also known to me later when working in Marcel Breuer's office in NYC as the JV designer of the Australian Embassy in Paris.

This is my finished project, maybe not any better, but the colour scheme is more appealing. (that is a valid personal opinion.
Seidler's wife definitely thanks you for the addition of a sink, as well as the refrigerator <g>. She'd *really* thank you for putting some doors or drawers on the front of the lower cabinets, though, so she could actually get into them ;->

Under-cabinet lighting (at the *front* underside of the cabinets) and other lighting directly on work surfaces is good, too. You'll have nasty shadows of people on top of their work with what you've got by itself, and nowhere near enough light to actually work by anywhere but the island and dead center at the sink.
Does anyone lese think i look sozzled in my picture ?
Well, now that you mention it... yep <g>.
