I sold my Roku on eBay and ordered a unit from a different manufacturer, IO Data - Their unit is called the AVeL Player. Basically it is just like a DVD player, except it can see your computers on the ethernet network and access music, still photography and AVI files, too. If you burn a 1920 x 1080 animation onto your own DVD, which you can do with a Mac and iMovie HD - you can then have a High Definition Presentation play from a DVD.
The AVeL LinkPlayer2 is amazing.
You can now create a rendered presentation compile it in iMovie-HD, burn to DVD and play on HDTV.
This unit is the best multimedia device I have ever seen.
It also sees the PC or Mac through the network, plays all of the Music files (iTunes Folders) the Picture files (iPhoto Libraries) and the Video files (iMovie projects)
Very Impressive, it does it all.

I went to this web site and downloaded HD Quality Movie Trailers, I burned them to a DVD and played them flawlessly on a HDTV. Looks great! It will even stream video through the network.
