Since the introduction of the new MEP Modeler, it is no longer possible to define maximum lengths for ducts/pipes as was previously available in the MEP Preferences.

This functionality was very useful for controlling segment lengths and ensuring consistency with real-world fabrication and installation constraints.

It would be highly beneficial if this option could be reintroduced in the new MEP Modeler.

We currently advertising, and getting clients for MEP designer. I just realized together with our first MEP client, that textures and surfaces are reduced to “white” Client is flagging this as an issue as it will be hard to tell the buidling parts, and componets from each other when hotlinking an IFC model.

I understand If photorealistic renderings with textures should be leaved out of MEP designer, but maybe Surfaces could be still maintain their “Surface colour” and not be reduced to "only white"?

Imagine routing through an all white (Architural) Mass, without beeing able to tell the difference between concrete slabs, and soft insultation ! - At least visually...

I´m simply just reffering to our client who sees this as a possible reason, not to invest in MEP designer

I think MEP Designer should have a feature that automatically makes Connection Diagrams or the elements selected.

For example, if we have a heat pump that is directly connected to a bunch of radiators, MEP Designer should create automatically a scheme that represents how the piping variations and connections are made, with pipe sizing labels and fluid volumes

I Wish for the Symbolic MVO options MEP elements would also have an impact on the vertical MEP elements, graphics could be better when using Symbolic MVO options on e.g a drainage/rainwater plan

Although electrical cables, normally, are not represented in BIM Projects, and only cable carriers are, I think electrical wiring should be added because is easier to measure, to price, and to scheme projects if the models has those elements represented on 3D BIM.
A cool feature would be after conecting the element to switchboard, software creates automatically an electrical scheme for the switchboard that we can edit with switches, circuit breakers, and even electrical control schemes.
