Under the "Settings in Selected Translator" area, select the "Open options" and find the "Import drawing data from" line. Change this line to "Paper space with viewport contents" and the results will open with the paperspace views in Archicad.

Anyone have a thought on how to override this? The only options remaining are "Model space" and "Paper space with empty viewports"!
To open a DWG in paper space, change the settings in the translator.

Thanks, Djordje. I never saw that one. Any thoughts as to why this option was removed, or if it will be replaced?

If I do need to open the PaperSpace with viewport contents from 2004/2005, I open it in 2005, save as 2000, open it in 8.1, then ... whatever is needed. Quite time consuming. Not to mention extending a dependency on AutoCAD. And a new version, to boot!
