I revised a drawing file 3 days ago, published the file, saved the filed and closed it. Tried to open the file today and got a Warning! Cannot read Plan file message. When I looked at the file size it shows 0 KB. I tried to open the backup file and it is from a week ago prior to the revisions that were created 3 days ago.
Is there anyway to get the full days worth of work back that seems to be lost?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you saving the file to a cloud storage folder by any chance?
Dropbox, iCloud, OneDrive, etc.

It has 0KB because it is corrupted.
Your back-up will have just copied the corrupted file.
Although you are saving to your computer, is it to the local hard drive?
The cloud folders also look like they are on your computer, in fact they are on your computer, but they also sync to the cloud.
It can cause corrupted files if Archicad tries to save them as they try to sync to the cloud.
Of course that is not the only reason a file can become corrupt?
What version and build of Archicad are you using?
I seem to recall a problem of the first build of 26 having a corruption problem.
I might be wrong about that, but I know there was a corruption problem discussed some time ago.

This project is V24. I do have V26 that I am using for new projects but I am finalizing a number of projects in V24.
I do not believe my drawings are being stored in the cloud.

I am not sure if anything here may help.

just tried this and here is the message I got...
It looks like the computer things that the file is currently open?

When I launch V24 it gives me the option to "New" or "Browse" or "Teamwork"
then below that it shows thumbnail images of projects that I have been recently working on. The files shows up and the images scan and they show a number of drawing pages and views of the revised drawings. but when I open the file there is nothing...

The images you see for the recent files really don't mean anything.
They just seem to be saved at random while the file was open before.
I have done things in a file, not saved it, and the images still show what I did but didn't save.
If you are able to open the file and there is nothing in it, then unfortunately that is probably the case.
Make sure all of you layers are on and view all stories in 3D to confirm.

do you have a .bpn file next to the .pln ?
If so try to open it.
