solid wall/ stud wall?

Anonymous

can anyone explain what changes, from the viewpoint of a window, if I tell it is in a stud wall vs a solid wall? It makes a difference, but I don't understand it.

what setting are you talking about? window setting or wall type?

Zobi,

Your question suggests that you are using the US SE 9 library. You should be using the corrected version that was posted a week or so ago.

I believe your answer is in the accompanying PDF manuals. They are long, but the new features are numerous. See:
http://www.graphisoft.com/support/archicad/downloads/library_updates/usaSEdownload.html

and particularly the Illustrated Special Edition Doors PDF and Illustrated Special Edition Windows PDF (as well as the SE Lib Man).

From looking there, the only difference I see offhand is a larger RO (space for bucks) in a solid [e.g., concrete] wall.

Karl

PS Everyone downloading the SE9 library should download 9 things: the library, the startup template, the detailer templates, and 6 PDF manuals.
