Dimensions Problems in Layout

Anonymous
Not applicable
My dimensions in the drawing file do not reproduce exactly in the layout file. For example, I see 5'-6" in the drawing and 5'- 5 63/64" in the layout. This happens only on a small subset of dimensions, not every dimension. Is this related to changing from measured values to custom values? Is there a setting I can use to get WYSIWYG? Thanks.

The dimension format is stored in the settings for each view (so each can have a different setting if you want).
Open the settings for your view and see what dimension format is being used.

The other part of this issue is that it may be caused by inaccurate modeling. If that element is supposed to be 5'-6" but it is 5'- 5 63/64", then your other action should be (if that is the case) to correct the model. Then both the Viewpoint and the Layout will report it correctly, maybe even with dimension settings differences.
Of course it is possible that the 5'- 5 63/64" is correct, in which case you will have to work with the dimension settings of the various Views and make sure they use the same dimension settings.
