Hello friends,
I'm curious if drawings can be mirrored on a layout while maintaining dimensions/etc. I assume not, but our office is working on a building that is to be cut-pasted across a site, but one of the modules has to be mirrored for a number of reasons.
Is it simply necessary to make a second file and mirror the entire model?
peace to all

Hi @benjaminarstevens,
I believe that you cannot mirror drawings on layouts - just rotate, but I believe dimensions' text orientation will not follow that rotation. However, if you rotate a view and save it, dimensions and texts will follow your rotation.
I would also recommend using hotlinks, and while placing hotlinks you can mirror and rotate them. I would recommend this especially if you have repetitive parts of the buildings and/or multiple blocks of the buildings. You can even save the entire building as a hotlink, and place it in the same or separate Archicad instance. Some useful links:

Hope it helps,

I am pretty sure that Hotlinking will mirror all of your floorplan dimensions, but you will still need to redo everything that is in an elevation or section View...
