Very likely that you have one of your renovation filters turned on. Happens with me from time to time but have yet to find out why.

What @rjwilden suggests. It can also be:

 

-duplicated elements

-similar objects from other floor that are shown in this floor level for many reasons

-duplicated elements that were put on a hidden layer, but that it is ON on this particular floor plan.

Thank you.  tahts what happened to me too, still i dont know why. Also the renovation filter switched to show all the status.
