Elevations in View Map deleted by mistake

Whilst cleaning up obsolete views etc, it appears that the Elevations in my View Map have been deleted by mistake.

This seems to be independent of undo as I noticed and couldn't rectify it.

The elevations are still on my layout but I'm not sure how to sort everything out/what implications this might have.

This is my first project in Archicad so I'm still getting up to speed on the organiser/navigator etc

Go into the project map right click on each elevation & save current view, they will then re-appear in the view map only at the bottom, you will need to drag them up to the folder where you keep them.

Thanks, will do that tomorrow

You will then need to re-link the drawings on the layouts to those new views.
Or just delete them and place the new views on the layouts again.

They are only views of the elevations and the original elevations are still there in the Project Map.
So no real harm done - the hardest part is remembering the settings for the views when you re-create them.

A quicker way to create the views is to open the Organiser, then drag all the relevant elevations from the project map on the left, to the view map on the right, then change the settings of them all at once whilst still selected.

Sorry Barry, I meant vice versa.

They're on my layout but deleted elsewhere. I just wondered if there was a way of restoring the elevations that are on my layout

You have deleted the view, so the drawing on your layout is effectively fixed now - no longer linked to anything.
There is no way of re-establishing the view from the drawing on the layout.

You will have to re-create the view and then either re-link the drawing on the layout to that new view or delete the old drawing and place a new one from that view.

Thanks for clarifying Barry.

If I relink back to the now recreated views, will they override the current appearance of the fixed views on the layout?
