Fence object with Inclination (like the railing object)

Hi,

I need to show a fence on a steep block, this is next to a publicly owned easement, and the local council is requesting the information, so I want everything to look as close to how it will look when built.

There will be a 1.8m high paling fence over a retaining wall, the fence will be on the natural ground slope.  I can show a 1.8m high balustrade and handrail to make it a "compliant" design, and then note it as a fence just pictured indicatively, and this will be my back up option. But if I can make it look correct, this will avoid the confusion down the track when council says "you have shown a nice looking balustrade, we want that, not your cheap pine paling fence....."

I am hoping to just be able to add some parameter to the Graphisoft fence object, I looked parameters of the Graphisoft Rail Post with Bars object parameters, and thinking I can add those parameters to the fence, but then I chickened out and thought I would ask here first before fiddling with anything.

Even if there was a way to play with the railing to make it look like a fence? Like to just be able to turn off the handrail would make all the difference. Then I could just set the bars to be paling size and the posts to fence post size.

Yes, you can make a railing like a fence.

Just posts and balusters.

Open a default template and have a look at the favourites for the railing.

I have the AUS template, so yours may be different, but we have a couple of fences set up. (actually I see you are AUS as well).

Im not really sure how you got to that search point? 

Do you get there through the object selection settings? As the only favourites there are ones I have saved.

I dont know how to open a dialogue box called rail selection settings.

I am using the AUS template also.

You need to be in the Railing Tool, not the Object Tool...

I am sorry to be more of a bother, I am just not figuring this out. 

I found the Rail Tool, thank you Lingwisyer, I never knew that was a thing.... always learning.

Now I am in the railing selection settings, I found a favourite that looks fine, I can see how to edit the appearance.  But I can not incline it? I can skew and slant, but not incline.

When you place it you can snap the nodes to where ever you want. It is placed like a polyline.

All you have to do is grab the node on the reference line in 3D and drag it vertically.

Even better, you can place it in 3D and it will associate with your mesh heights.

You can even magic wand it into place.

Probably a good idea to look at some of these YouTube videos if you don't know about it.
