Fills

My solid colored fills in my floor plan have mysteriously become transparent.

I have experimented with changing the model view options, but it's not working so far.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

The Trace & Reference has an option to show solid fills as transparent.
Have you got that option turned on maybe?
Fills will say they are the correct pen colours but will appear transparent on the screen.

Barry,

You nailed my problem (http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=22319). Thank you. It's been extremely frustrating this last week dealing with this. Apparently very few people are aware of this, as there have been 846 views of these two threads and my reseller has started a tech request to GS.

I think this is a very poorly implemented feature of AC, as the icon does not indicate a position. I clicked it three times before my solid fills would display, with no change in the icon (such as shaded) to show its position. Problem number two is the horrible search tool in AC Help. I could find nothing on this searching and yet it is right there in the section dealing with Trace.

Arrrggh! --but thank you, again.

Thank you Barry! That was exactly the problem.

I am having this exact same problem. I have a high roog overlapping a lower roof in a roof plan and the cover fill background has totally disappeared.

I have tried every combination of pen color, layer, floor plan display, and model view option that I can find with no reults. The cover fill pen behaves normally.

At this point, I'm thinking it's a bug.

I have the exact same problem...only difference is my fills are grey not transparent. It must be a bug.

How can this be dealt with?

Jeff & H,

Are you both sure it is not your trace settings?

Yes I am sure. It seams to be a bug of some kind.

Thanks

Strange you know....it's only when I set the background fill color to white that the fill shows grey, and yet when I select any other color (brown, black, red, etc) it is shown correctly.

It makes no logical sense whatsoever, this is why I suspect it is a bug.

Did anybody check the Model View options for the fills?
