Problems occur:
1. White streaks about 1 inch wide appear randomly on drawings, wiping out all images.
2. Line values are not the same as when I print the same PDF to HP Inkjet.
Some of the lighter lines (such as .10mm) disappear entirely.
I have tried saving as TIFF to begin with, but it is terrible line quality.
I tried a number of other options, etc. offered under the Publisher, to no avail.
It seems like there would be a clear and concise way of simply sending drawings to a local printing company to get good results.
I would pay money for an answer to this.....maybe!

Why aren't they printing directly from the pdf?
If they can't or won't, find another printer.

I am using AC 12/Mac and publishing drawings as PDF's, black and white, 300 dpi compression.
If you make bitmapped PDFs in the process, this could be your issue. Don't!
Try publishing to color, only using greyscale (or black) pens instead. For some reason this gives smaller PDFs than reducing color space at publishing time.
If they still can't manage your files, I agree with Erika.
