Plotmaker - Importing into layout book

Plotmaker is limiting the amount of imported items per layout sheet and the 'save as' wording changes to wing ding type symbols. I have to reboot to get more items on a layout sheet.
Any suggestions?

RAM?

You are importing how? Direct linking or PMKs?

The number of imported items is limited to what?

Is anything running beside PlotMaker when you are importing?

The more information you give, the faster and better the answer will be!

Sorry, new at this. Thanks for being patient.

Computer is Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz, 523 megs RAM

Usually running Plotmaker with 1 to 2 Archicad's open

We are direct linking. It will let us place 4 or 5 items on a layout page then freeze up. We have to reboot before we can place anything else on the page.

Thanks.

Hm.

When you direct link, another ArchiCAD starts in the background to process the views. Therefore, you are running one or two ArchiCADs plus PlotMaker plus another ArchiCAD and probably the systray apps - WAY too much for 512 MB.

Close the ArchiCADs, or add RAM (MUCH better solution). Also, be sure that the minimum size of your Windows temporary file is at least 2GB, and that you have lots of free space on the disk.

HTH,
