Plotter Choices in Plot Layout

Could you please include the HPDesignjet 5500ps Plotter in the supported plotters list in Plotmaker for the next revision. Right now the closest plotter is the HP Designjet 5000. This doesn't match the properties of our plotter exactly. For example when we used our old plotter the HPDesignjet 755cm what you see in Plotmaker is what you got when you printed. The layout would print exactly where it was positioned in Plotmaker. With the 5500ps it is hit or miss and we never know where it will print on the sheet of paper. Thanks a million

Did you try printing? Before that, which ArchiCAD and which OS?

Djordje,
I have tried that. What happens when I select that plotter is that it gives me a full sheet of paper with no margins of the plotter. However it is drastically more accurate when I print something as opposed to plotting it still does not match exactly. When printing using the center position it will still leave more space at the bottom then the top. When printing using the default bottom left position it shifts the drawing even more to the top of the page. I really liked using the plotter as opposed to the printer because it showed me what my limits were of the plotter so I could fit my title page within those limits and give it a 1/2" border on the top, bottom, and right margins.
We are using ArchiCAD 8.1 V2/R2 on Mac OS10.3. We were using V3/R3 but we had a another issue with doors & windows dropping out in plotmaker and were suggested to go back to the earlier version. Unfortunately that still did not help. Anyway thanks for you quick reply.

We had library parts disappear in plotmaker that was due to library paths not being the same from computer to computer, and BGArchicad would just not generate the parts. Be sure and have your libraries either located on a common server or in a path that is identical to every machine.
