Publish 24x36 layout to 12x18 pdf?

I have a full size 24x36 set that I publish to pdf in Archicad 10. I want to publish these at 50% on 12x18. The only way I have gotten close is to open the 24x36 in Acrobat reader and 'shrink to fit'. I shows 48% accounting for margins which is not acceptable.

Souldn't I be able to do this in Archicad?

I publish 24x36 layouts to PDF and them print them at 50% on 12x18 all the time, but I just do it in adobe..... I leave the PDF at 24x36.... I don't know how you would save a 1/2 scale PDF. I'm not sure what the benefit is...

The problem I have is when I get the print preview in Reader - it does not allow me to choose 50% but automatically 'reduces to printer margins' and sayw 48%. I remember being able to choose 50% in the past. Maybe I was using the real Acrobat instead of Reader.

You should not scale in the Print dialog.
The trick is to use Page Setup before Publishing from Archicad, or before Printing from Adobe Reader.
Set the paper size to the small one, and the scale to 50% in Page Setup.
This will work in both programs. And you will get accurate scaling.
Then, when you Print in Reader, set Page scaling to None in the Print dialog.

In Adobe Reader 7, under Page Setup pick your paper size (Arch B) and scale (50%).

Under Print, pick "Page Scaling: None".

No, you were using Publisher in PM9, where we had that option. See the attached image.

The only way I can see to get this in AC10's Publisher is to Print by using the Amyuni PDF Converter (as opposed to using the Save Method).

Would be interested to see if anyone else (especially Mac users) still have that PM9 option - with the Save method.
