In Archicad only, when I print and save to a pdf, the default file name is "untitled", as opposed to whatever layout or view I'm working in. Other software give a relevant file name.
It's annoying to have to type the name of something other software seems to be able to work with.
Is this a work environment thing I changed by mistake?

Use the Publisher.

Thanks for the reply, but no.
Not for just a random on the fly print. For example, I'm printing a view of a 3d doc or room int. elevation only, no titleblock. And that only saves to whatever name you've given the publisher set, even if its a single layout.
But seriously. Thanks for bothering to come up with a solution. I was worried my question was unclear.

And that only saves to whatever name you've given the publisher set, even if its a single layout.
Only if you have set it to merge. Publishing individual files uses what ever layout naming convention you have set.
For example, I'm printing a view of a 3d doc or room int. elevation only, no titleblock.
Maybe make a Wish for the default name to match that of the View that you are printing from.
Ling.
ps. When I Save As a PDF, the default name is the file name or the drawing type... ELEV for elevations, *Section Name*, *3D Document Name*, *Schedule Name*, *File Name* for floorplans and 3Ds. Is this an external PDF printer that you are using?
