Source File Path Display in Title

I place consultant drawings on layouts as part of my full sets of drawings.

I would like to be able to check if the placed drawings are the most current.

I have been just assigning SIMPLE TITLE to them (and place the title OFF the printed area.

MOST of the time, the pdf's come with a DATE so it's easy to tell...

BUT some consultants name them with just the sheet number.

I presumed I could just use the "ac_sourceFilePath" variable, but it will NOT grab the source path nor diplay it.

I was also thinking I could just ASSOCIATE a LABEL to a PDF in the layout window.. but that doesn't work as you can't associate labels in the layouts.

Any advise would be appreciated...

Operating system used: Windows 11

If the object is not embedded, don't you need to reload the library to get it to update after making code modifications?
