Title Pen Changing Mid Project

JKL
Booster

When I am placing drawings onto the layouts, often enough to be annoying but not all the time, my title pens will *SWITCH* to blue. The template is set to "uniform title pen", so I must be hitting a key combination I don't know I'm hitting or something. Any suggestions?

I have checked

On Screen Options-Uniform Master Items.

MVOs

Changed the pen set to see if a specific pen set was an issue

Images below show two elevations that were placed with correct title pen. When I add a new drawing, you can see the title pen is blue. The other is a screenshot of the drawing settings for the drawing with incorrect color title pen.

I know I can change them to uniform title pen and they will go back, but I need to figure out why it is doing that so I can fix any issues in the template.

Operating system used: Mac Intel-based Sequoia

Check the "Uniform Title Pen" checbox, only then will be black Pen you set will be applied to the whole Title Block.

This should be the default setting for the Drawing tool so all Drawings places after that, their Titles will be drawn using the black Pen.

Just to clarify what Laszlo has said.

You need to change that setting before you place the drawing so it becomes the default settings for future drawings.

Do not just select a drawing and make the change as that only affects that particular drawing.

You can also ALT+click (pipette) an existing drawing that is correct to pick up those settings as default.

The problem is that it's changing mid project. It will be set to uniform title pen, then mid project when I'm placing views the title pen switches. When I update the settings after it changes to blue-they will not stay and I have to individually select each one to change it at that point.

Edited to add it doesn't matter what kind of view I'm placing. I could place the West elevation and it will be a black title, then when I place East elevation with the same settings it'll be blue and from then on each view that is placed has a blue title.

So you are saying if you look at the drawing tool default settings, it shows the title pen as black.

But then you place the East elevation drawing and the title pen is blue.

You then look a the drawing tool defaults and it is also blue.

Are you using favourites by any chance?

These will reset the defaults.

Yes, that is what is happening. I don't think I'm using favorites for any of the views-but this gives me some additional ideas to check out! If I figure it out I'll update-thank you!

Just dragging a view from the View Map on to a layout will use the default settings of the drawing tool.

Doing it this way, every drawing should have the same settings (unless you change the defaults in between placing drawings).

That's what I'm tying to figure out-HOW am I changing them? I tend to fat finger the keyboard often so I think I'm hitting some type of key combination or something because I'm making the change somewhere-I just don't know where. Its driving me crrraaazzzyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I'm trying to figure out if there is a key combination, an MVO setting I'm accidentally changing-something! I'm the one that knows Archicad the best in our office so it's pretty well blind leading the blind over here.

I've been paying attention and just immediately changing the views back to uniform title pen and utilizing the pipette, and that is working, but they are still "randomly" changing.
