Wall component schedule not matching wall composite profile

Johann_P

I have found that the Wall component schedule does not matching Wall composite profile.

This is rather worrying....

I seem to have 2 additional layers in the wall schedule that does not exist in the composite profile.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi, @Johann_P

One thing I noticed in your criteria is that it's not organized with "()", as suggested in my image.

It can cause some issues in scheduling components.

You can try sorting criteria types with "()", and send more detailed images or the .pla file in a WeTransfer link for a deeper evaluation.

Thanks  Vinicius,

I have added the brackets as shown in you reply, but no change.

Here are some more detailed images.
I hope they are sufficiently legible.

Add some extra parameters in the field area, renovation statue, composite name, story level, to check from where they come

They seem to remain and seem to be identical to the duplicated layer.

So I solved it by doing the following:

I had 2 instances  "Wood - Siding" in the schedule.
One layer had a "Custom Text" description which was the only difference between the 2 .
When I deleted the "Custom Text" the 2 instances merged.
When I renamed the "Custom Text" to what I had, the 2 instances remained merged, thus solving the problem.

This duplication happened as I was making changes to the Wall's composite profile.

Still, Surely the Wall Component Schedule should match the actual wall, shouldn't it? And not have random elements listed that could cause mayor confusion if the drawings are issued with such errors?

I had the exact same problem with Wall 2
But this time deleting the "Custom Text" didn't solve it.

I had to remove the "Custom Text" field entirely from the schedule and re-add it.

Johann, just one question to clarify:

You are talking about Wall Complex Profile, but your screenshots show the Composite Dialog.

You are using Composites, right? You are not using Complex Profiles, right?

Thanks Laszlo,

Indeed, it should be "composite".

I have edited the topic and my references to be "composite" and not "complex"

Johann,

I have a curious idea:

In your screenshot, I can see that you have 5 skins that have the "Finish" skin type.

Could you modify 3 of them to "Other" so only the 2 outer skins ("Wood - Siding" and "Masonry - Finish") have the "Finish" skin type.

Then check if that makes any difference.
