Wrap text for keynote descriptions

Kalib Stewart

I've noticed the wrap text for keynote descriptions still hasn't been fixed in Ac28.1.1. - almost a year since it was picked up in the beta and months since it was notified officially to GS. The one and only selling point of 28, and the absolute basics still don't work properly.

Thanks @Kalib Stewart for your feedback.

We'll be making improvements to the next main Archicad version for the Keynote Legend - including the ability to wrap merged cells onto new lines, and fixing an issue where custom formatting was lost when merging columns. Is this what you are referring to? If not, can you send me a message showing the problem? Thanks.

Hey James, I don’t know how to message on here sorry. The update installed fine, but I was still not prompted by 28 for it.

Re: keynotes. No, it’s a seperate issue. The labels do not retain “wrap text” with longer descriptions once placed, even if it is turned on prior to placing. Once placed again, they become one long line of text and you have to reactivate wrap text again every time per label to reduce its width. Absorbing properties doesn’t help either.

I have raised this multiple times on here, the Beta, and directly with Central Innovation to the team at Graphisoft. As much as I’d like to use native keynotes and get my team using them, I am still using CI Tools’ version because at least the frame width of the label remains locked when I have descriptive notes.

Regarding the schedule, my feedback on that in which I’m happy to elaborate further on, is like the CI tools schedule we need to be able to filter only “placed notes” within the project, and also able to filter the hierarchy of folders too. I like to have pre filled out labels as in NZ we use the CBI system and can’t be bothered recreating them each project, but some labels in my palette that are not in use in a project, I don’t want them on the schedule come issuing time.

Thanks for clarifying.

You can click on my username, and on that page, in the top right, send a message - to send me a DM.

Please send screenshot of the behaviour. Does it always happen? If you can send a file, even better.
