when the screen opens in layout section and it appears in the screen, suddenly it tries to update itself.
but i don't want it. i solely want it update when ever i want it update manually.
is it even possible?

In Drawing Tool Settings choose manual update. Select your drawing, press Ctrl+T or Cmd+T to open Settings dialog window. You also can create favourites for drawings with different settings to choose before placing drawing on layout.
