how do you use plotmaker layout files created in 7 in 8?

all the drawings open on one layout and there is no separation between the drawings. do you have to start all over again in the new format or is there a way to import from 8 to 7?

Not sure that I understand the question, but you can in plotmaker 8 import the layouts from the old single layout plotmaker. You will need to sort them into their proper folders and apply a new master layout to each sheet. Also as you bring in these older layouts that will append a "Master Title" 001, 002 ect. to your Masters folder. After you have assigned each imported layout to a new master you can delete these extra masters. It takes a little time, but it goes fairly quickly, and I think it is worth it as now you have all of your layouts in one place. No more opening individual files.

Multi-sheet layout, huh?

1. Create a Master, including the titleblock and other data. Don't forget Autotext!

2. Create the Layouts in the Layout book, one for each sheet

3. In the Navigator, drag the placed drawings from the big master sheet to the individual ones, or, better:

3.a) Cut the placed drawings sheet by sheet, paste in the proper sheet. Why this? They come at the same location, so it is easy to move them into place.

4. Enjoy the Layout book.

Been there, done that, 32 A1 sheets ...
