Hi, what would be the best geometry to program a simple 3D tree kind of the examples in attach?
I'm looking for something with parameters that I can randomize to get a slightly new geometry for each instance.

Hm... That reminds me of the Rock Quarried object in the CI Essentials library, just need to put it on a stick, like what the default AC trees can do.

In the GER Library there is a Concept Tree object which is not that simple, but tweaking it's settings does allow to get similar results.
There is an extensive Tree Library available at ArchiRadar, which do have low poly options integrated, but I never used those and I don't know how they look like.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b5_QGzv6RHQ&t=1493s the library / object linked in the video description will allow you to make something sort of similar.
There are some preset trees that you can change to use sphere shapes instead of warped planes, maybe lower the amount of shapes generated and change the surface material to something solid.

It looks more than rendering results than 2d section/elevation. Nice artistic shape. Maybe you can do it with png.

Massivator trees can look nice, but they are slow... =S

Have a look at the first 'panel' in the settings. That's where the amount of leaf objects are generated. You can try cutting the numbers in half to see if the results are still good enough.
It's going to look like an abstraction of a tree regardless, so I ussually go for a bit of artistic license. Then again, I'm no botanist, so I tend to go for 'good enough' quickly 🙂

I had the same problem, so I built one 😀
It was one of the first objects I built for Archicad, and it is unfinished, but should be usable as a starting point.
I was inspired by the simple massing geometry that Google Earth uses. It ought to be possible to get a good foliage texture to map to this so it looks like a GE tree.
The 2D symbol is quite nice too, and I have some alternative options that can be used.

I can provide the actual source geometry if anyone wants to take this further.
Whatever they do - I would ask that it be made available to everyone for free.
I can upload them to Google Drive and post a link.
I'll see if I can do some more to it in the next couple of days before I go on leave for Christmas, but there are lots of people here who would do a much better job!
