Some problems with the new GDL editor

Surely I am not alone with these new changes to the GDL editor. While there are some nice features, and finally my eyes wont melt after 8 hours of coding, the performance is bad, you have to wait several seconds to the syntax highlights to load in, even if you are in the same GDL object's different scripts, not to mention where multiple GDL objects are opened.

Where can you change the font colors? See:

Why not use the official GDL plugins' color scheme released for VS Code? I find it much better, see:

Do i have to press CTRL+SPACE every single time to use the suggestions?

Where can you change the command hotkeys? (To better match VS Code and Visual Studio 22, i like to configure them to use the same hotkeys)

Please develop this GDL editor further!

Thank you

It is Monaco by Microsoft not GS development: https://microsoft.github.io/monaco-editor/

on the PC the shortcuts are located: AppData\Local\GRAPHISOFT\GDLEditorPreferences[....]

There might be more folders like that - probably the last one (by date) will be the one to edit - but it might be reverted as Barry noted on some other tread

Archicad Monaco implementation is slow on PC (Mac users do not complain) mostly when having the OS  UI scaling not 100%, every single script of opened object is separate cef process of Edge on PC (on MAC it might be Safari so maybe handles that better) Edge now is based on Chrome or Chromium so the overload- so search strings do not go through all opened objects or even inside one object.

Hi,

My main problem is the Auto-complete/Intellisense. Up until about a month ago, it worked automatically both on windows, and macOS, but since then, the only way I can invoke it is via ctrl+space. I have no idea what could have changed, but it is extremely annoying.

Does anyone from Graphisoft have an answer? Is there like a shortcut to toggle this feature on/off that I might have clicked on?

Thanks!

"Auto Complete' (Graphisoft call it 'Trigger Suggest') was there automatically in 27 (which I did not really like).

The CTRL+Spacebar shortcut did not seem to do anything in 27, unless you go back to an existing command or partly written command and press it.

So I think it was not working as intended.

Now in 28 it is not there until you CTRL+Spacebar, which is better.

We just have to re-train ourselves to use the shortcut.

But, ideally it should be a toggle that can be turned on or off.

If there is a toggle, then it is not obvious to find.

Maybe there is a registry key - I have not investigated that far.
