What does the "U" button/letter mean in front of parameters in Archicad?

In Archicad’s parameter list, every parameter seems to have a "U" shown in front of it (for example, before AC_show2DHotspotsIn3D).
What does this "U" stand for, and what is its function?

Got it. So the point is to prevent that parameter from being passed to another object, like special marker text (e.g., the 'X' symbol explanation).
Thanks for clarifying!

Caveat, beware!:

This is only true when you use the syringe inside the tool window to transfer settings between different objects, NOT while in the plan!
